The Story of MYWinter Isekai: An Interview with Mysterio

Hello, darlings! Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing the fabulous Mysterio, a Nasi Lemak VTuber and the organizer of MYWinter Isekai. If you haven't heard of this event, it's a virtual gathering for VTubers and fans to unite and have some fun. As Mysterio explained, the event started in 2020, during the COVID lockdown, as a way to give folks something to look forward to at the end of the year.

But, wait a minute, I know what you're thinking. "Goro, how did Mysterio come up with such a cool idea?" Well, my dear readers, it's a simple idea by Mysterio that was dropped in the MyVT Community server and gained traction, growing with the help of a dedicated staff team. According to Mysterio, "without the interest and ideas of our staff team, we wouldn't have been able to produce the My Winter Isekai you see today."

But the VTubing scene is ever-changing and fast-paced, and as a result, the MYWinter Isekai team has changed as well. However, that hasn't stopped Mysterio and the team from planning for the future. They have some top-secret projects in the works and plan on working with more folks from different fields to give participants more opportunities and to showcase themselves on an international level.

Now, onto the main event - the Idol Concert. This segment is the consistent feature of the event, and it's the closing segment for each day. As Mysterio tells us, "the Idol Concert was actually based on two things really. Since a lot of VTubers have posted covers and have great singing potential, the Idol Concert was created to give folks a platform to showcase their MVs, covers, and for some, original songs." The concert is a way for participants to get involved even if they're unable to join the live segments, which require participants to actually be on the stream.

But, like any event, there are challenges that the MYWinter Isekai team has to overcome. One of these challenges is time conflicts, as sudden changes in schedules may require different hosts per year. Another potential issue is copyright, which could lead to muting a portion of the VOD. Nevertheless, the MYWinter Isekai team remains determined to provide a fantastic experience for their participants and viewers.

In conclusion, Mysterio's hope for the event and the community is to continue growing together. As Mysterio puts it, "if you have an idea that you want to try out, go for it." And let's be real, that's great advice for all of us. So, to all you VTubers and fans out there, keep on shining and having a fabulous time at MYWinter Isekai!
